Rambutan or Nephelium lappaceum widely planted as a fruit tree, is sometimes found growing wild. These tropical plants require a humid climate with annual rainfall of at least 2,000 mm. Rambutan is a lowland plant, to a height of 300-600 m above sea level. Trees with a height of 15-25 mm has many branches. Alternate location pinnate compound leaves, with 2-4 pairs of leaflets. Rambutan flowering in thethe late dry season and set fruit in the rainy season ,around November to February . There are many types of rambutan, like ropiah, simacan, sinyonya, lebakbulus, and binjei.
