The blood that we donate to expire if unused. Red blood cells must be used within 42 days. Platelets must be used within 5 days, and plasma can be frozen and used within one year.

In addition, blood donors will help lower the risk of heart attack and other heart problems. Research shows, donating blood would reduce the excess iron in the body. Although more research still needs to be sure, excess iron play suspected cause abnormalities in the heart. The advantages that would make the bad cholesterol (LDL) form of atherosclerosis (fatty plaques that would clog the blood vessels). The reduced rates of heart disease problems, especially seen in donors who do not smoke.

In women who have undergone menopause, levels of iron in the blood is higher than when still menstruating. That’s because the iron released during menstruation. So in menopausal women, too much iron can be removed by donating blood.

If blood donors done 2-3 times a year, or every 4 months, is expected to decrease blood viscosity, thereby reducing the likelihood of blockage of blood vessels. Production system blood cells will also continue stimulated to produce new blood cells which carry oxygen to tissues throughout the body. Good blood circulation will improve and revitalize the body’s metabolism.

Cycle formation of new blood cells are smooth and metabolism that runs well, makes a variety of diseases can be avoided. However, no studies that prove that donating blood would make a person cured of allergies.

For 24 hours after the donor, blood volume returns to normal. The blood cells will be reconstituted within 4-8 weeks. Thus, the donor does not have to worry about a lack of blood. Donate blood at all will not reduce the strength of the body.

In fact, people who once had been diagnosed with anemia (anemia), if the conditions had improved could then donate blood. A person diagnosed with anemia, anemia does not mean he will be a lifetime.

Eye care is not just a window, but can also be a clue to one’s health. Indeed, there are specialists who typically perform the examination through several organs in patients. For instance through a fingernail, hair, fingers, eyes, tongue and mouth.

Ways like a lot of checks carried out on the Eastern or Oriental medical diagnosis means. As a small mouth is a reflection of the nature of young, fit and active. Medium wide mouth that hinted otherwise. Then, how the mouths of today’s assessed Michio Kushi wider than a human mouth earlier era? Yet according to Michio, ideally the width of the mouth does not vary much with the width of a man’s nose.

According Michio, the wide mouth of the people of today because of the increasingly weak maternal energy during the process of formation of the fetus in the abdomen caused by the ability of mothers decreased digestive system. This is experienced by many mothers today.

Furthermore, according to Oriental diagnosis, upper lip and the bottom one, each reflecting the different conditions of the digestive organs. The top is a clue about the condition of the hull, while the bottom of the duodenum and small intestine. When the upper lip slightly to the center, a reflection hydrocloric acid secreting stomach is strong.

Moderate left-right end of the lip related to health of duodenum, which also reflects the end of the hull are then concatenated into the pancreatic duct, liver and bile.

The lower lip shows the condition of the small intestine. If the lower lip to swell, for example, then reflect the occurrence of constipation. When the lower lip a bit dark, it indicates bleeding or blood flow is not smooth in the digestive system.

When the lower lip was pale, indicating an irritation in the intestines which causes the absorption of nutrients to be weak. But if your lips feel supple, in women especially, show her vagina elasticity. Therefore, women need to be polished lips lipstick that feels more supple.

Once excited about iodized salt. The reason a lot of salt on the market, but not levels of iodine. Iodine in salt is problematic because this mineral is important the human body. Iodine is classified as a mineral essential for thyroid hormone.

Non-iodized salt at issue makes consumers vulnerable to mumps. Iodine can not be used to treat specific diseases, but these supplements are beneficial in the prevention of several diseases. Diseases related to iodine deficiency include hypothyroidism, goitre, dwarfism and a delay of intelligence in infants. Well indeed very serious consequences for health development.

Iodine deficiency resulting in symptoms of fatigue, easy to stress and obesity are also associated with lack of hormone thyroxine. Because a role in the metabolism of fat and cholesterol, iodine is also widely used to lower the risk of clogged arteries. In the human body there are about 25 mg of iodine. Highest concentrations found in the thyroid gland. The rest are spread in the muscle, bone, skin and blood. But the blood is only about one percent.

The function of iodine is important for the formation of a hormone produced by the thyroid gland, namely thyroxine and thyroid function itself. Thyroxine function controls the use of energy by the body in conditions of complete rest.

Thyroxine is important for respiration and the cell, the formation energy, increase the input of oxygen and almost all metabolic processes. It also affects the nerves and bone formation, reproduction, skin condition, hair, nails and teeth. Also affect the process of speaking and mental condition. Through the thyroid, iodine is also helping change carotene into vitamin A, the RNA into protein, cholesterol synthesis and absorption of carbohydrates.

However, excessive eating fast food in a person at risk of iodine excess due to the increased consumption of added salt. The best way to avoid this negative element is by eating fresh seafood.

The case of iodine deficiency is common in those who live in areas where land is less many contain iodine, such as high mountains where the land is far from the sea. Hypothyroidism can be characterized by symptoms of chronic fatigue, dry skin, elevated levels of blood fats, hoarse voice, slow reflexes and difficulty concentrating.

Thalassemia is a genetic blood disorder which in character (decreased) which sufferers experience imbalance in the production of hemoglobin (HB).

Hemoglobin serves to transport oxygen through the blood. And hemoglobin, consists of several kinds of proteins, including alpha and beta protein.

A person suffering from thalassemia is not capable of producing one of these proteins, so that red blood cells are not perfect. As a result of hemoglobin can not carry enough oxygen to the body and this leads to anemia (deficiency of blood), which started since I was a child until all his life.

Thalassemia divided by 2 according to its type:

a. If patients lack the protein alpha, then he suffered from thalassemia alpha.
b. If patients lack the beta protein, beta thalassemia he suffered.

The meaning of thalassemia that is genetic or decrease can be described if the father and mother are suffering from or carry thalassemia gene, their child may carry the same trait by 50%. And if children become thalassemia major by 25%. And the possibility of a normal child that is free of thalassemia by 25%.

The cause of this disease is the imbalance in the protein chain goblin alfa and beta, which is required in the formation of hemoglobin, caused by a defective gene. Can be clarified again, if someone becomes thalassemia must have 2 genes from their parents, but if only 1 gene, where it becomes a carrier but does not show the symptoms of this disease.

And to cure this disease, requires a long process and the cost for treatment is very expensive.
